More than $2 Million in Scholarships Since 1988

Founded in 1988, the George Junior Republic Scholarship Program has awarded more than $2 million to more than 700 of our students and alumni. The goal of the program is to fulfill George Junior Republic’s mission of helping youth reach their full potential and become successful members of society. Over the years, scholarship recipients have attended more than 70 different institutions of higher learning and technical training programs, which include vocational, technical, and two or four year colleges. Scholarship awards may assist youth with college application fees, tuition, housing, supplies (e.g., computers or vocational equipment), transportation, fees, and books.

The Scholarship Committee, which consists of Grove City Area School District staff, George Junior Republic staff, and members of the Board of Directors, meet with each youth. Scholarships are awarded based on the youth’s interview, scholarship application, references, and future plans. Alumni of our school who are interested in applying for a scholarship can download the scholarship application.
